Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, aka Ari Lennox, was born in Washington, D.C. on March 26th on the 26th of March, 1991. She's an American musician and singer. She was the first artist to be signed by J. Cole to his record label Dreamville Records. In October 2016 Ari Lennox debuted her debut EP Pho. The EP was where she received recognition. Shea Butter Baby her debut studio release was May 7th 2019. Ari Lennox started posting her music to the internet in 2012 when she launched her debut mixtape called Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography in 2013. In 2014, Ari Lennox dropped her single Bound and her self-released mixtape Five Finger Discount. She was featured in Omen's Elephant Eyes as well as from Sweat It Out, on the 21st of July, 2015. J. Cole asked her to join him in collaboration for Rihanna's references. Then, later in the season, the music was played around Dreamville. Her announcement to sign with Dreamville Records was made on December 8th. Backseat was the result of her participation to The Revenge of the Dreamers II album. The 21st of October, 2016, she dropped her debut EP titled Pho. Ari Lennox then appeared as the opening performer on behalf of J. Cole on his single Change in 2017, and performed on 4 Your Eyez Only Tour. In 2018, she went on to be a guest on two songs with her label-mates EarthGang and EarthGang on Nothing but the Best and Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox, on the 16th of July in 2018 was the first artist to release her single "Whipped Cream" from Shea Butter Baby. A music video was released on September 5th. On November 9 she released two more singles called 40 Shades of Choke and Grampa. Then, on November 13 the singer released two new singles titled No One as well as Pdigree. The singer appeared alongside Cole on The Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby On November 16th, and made the track available as a single by herself to her debut album. A music video was released 20 February 2019 in order to accompany the track. Within a week, it had over 3,000,000 views. As a support act She toured with 6LACK during December 2018 on The From East Atlanta With Love Tour.
